Out for a walk on a beautiful fall day

I try to get out for a walk every day at lunch, but the chill in the air today tells me that soon I will be missing some days because of snow. I better enjoy my walks while I can. This photo was shot with the native #iPhone5 camera app and processed with #Snapseed. #DiscoverPressgram #fall #autumn

Pumpkin on the vine, an autumn classic

This shot of a pumpkin hanging from a vine that is draped over a white fence, went up on Instagram last fall, but I always felt that the processing was a little heavy handed. I went back to the original file and reprocessed the image for @Pressgram. The photo was shot with the #iPodTouch (4th Gen) and post processing was done in #Snapseed with color enhancement in #VSCO. #DiscoverPressgram #byebyeinstagram

Cameras I love – the Ricoh GX100

This is another of the cameras that I love. The Ricoh GX100 is the best point and shoot camera that I have ever used. Sure it has a tiny sensor and low light image quality leaves something to be desired, but it is just so much fun to shoot. With stepped zoom, dual control dial and custom settings it shoots like a pro camera but fits in your pocket. Shot with the native #iPhone5 camera app and processed with #Snapseed. #dpbw #discoverpressgram

Glenda wades through the loch

Here we see Glenda wading through a loch in the North of Oz. You’ll notice that the magical properties in this region have rendered her reflection in reverse. Photo captured with the native #iPhone5 camera app and the post processing was done in #Snapseed. #funwithtoys #toys #WizardOfOz

What lies over the next hill?

Road trips to a new area are always fun. You never know what’s beyond the next horizon, and there is always another horizon beyond that. This photo was shot using #Hipstamatic with #JohnS lens #BlacKeysSuperGrain film. No post processing necessary. #dpbw #DiscoverPressgram

Not your typical Porsche

So, how many of you have ever thought “It’s time to plow the garden, better get out the Porsche.” Here we have an Allgaier – Porsche AP17 tractor from 1952. That’s right, a Porsche tractor. The photo was captured with the native #iPhone5 camera app and processed with #Snapseed.

A silver lining

Colorado tends to have really deep blue skies, so back in the film days it was always fun to shoot with a red filter over the lens. It would turn the blue skies to black and would make the clouds really pop. Of course, today’s technology has rendered the red filter pretty much useless, but it is always nice to get that dramatic look. This photo was shot using #Hipstamatic with #JohnS lens and #BlacKeysSuperGrain film. No post processing necessary. #monochrome #dpbw

The obligatory fall foliage shot

Saw this shot as I was walking in to my dentist’s office this afternoon. The leaves were backlit by the late afternoon sun and the sky was that deep Colorado blue. Even though it is very cliché, I had to grab the shot. That’s the beauty of @Pressgram, see something cool, snap it, load it up, and before you know it, it is up on your website driving page views. The photo was captured in the native #iPhone5 camera app and processed with #Snapseed. #discoverpressgram #fall #autumn

Fall flowers in vibrant color

There are still a few flowers holding out despite the cold nights here in the Mile-High City. I passed by these today and was drawn in by the vibrant color. The photo was captured in the native #iPhone5 camera app. Color filtration was added using #VSCO. And I added a little bit of edge blurring in. #Snapseed.

A stationary stone does gather moss

Here is another study in texture and light. This is a fairly large rock with a relatively flat surface. The photo was made at mid-day, so if this had been shot in June the light would not have had any directionality at all. But as we move into fall even lunch hour light starts to get a little interesting. This photo was made using the native #iPhone5 camera app and was processed using #Snapseed.
